Tanya's Memories
Jason's Memories The remainder of the Erie was a quick trip where we turned north on the Oswego Canal and headed for Lake Ontario. The lake was very big and had a bit of a chop at times. Arriving in Picton Bay and checking into Canadian Customs we found out the you have to pay taxes on any liquor brought into the country. That sucks! Peterborough lock was amazing when you pull in it looks as if you are driving of the edge of the earth. Georgian Bay is beautiful and rocky with narrow channels leading you through the shallows. Henry's was a good place to stay with good food I had the wings. Meeting J.D. and Karen in Killarney was a lot of fun enjoyed the dinner and the dip in the hot tub. Hospital trip in Little Current helped a little. Drummond Island was great to see after a 96 mile trip by yourself. Mackinac Island is the best, I could have stayed there for weeks. Onto Frankfort,MI to park for a week and come home to see the family after being gone so long it was great. My mom, sister, and niece came down and stayed the night with us and we had a blast.
